The mission trip to South Africa was intended to give her daughter a meaningful experience about serving others. But after working in a home for children orphaned by Aids, Sue had a personal desire to do more. Witnessing the presentation of the first quilts to the house mother and children, she realized the power of sharing love across continents through the Love Quilt Project.

Sue is a Senior Vice President at SAIC, where she serves as the Mission, Engineering and Program Support Service Line Manager. She and her husband live in Arlington, Virginia, and have four grown children and grandchildren, all residing in Virginia. She loves traveling, cooking, and the Washington Capitals!
