Every stitch tells a story. For The Love Quilt Project (LQP), those stories begin in classrooms across the United States, where children use markers on fabric squares to create heartfelt drawings. These small art squares – bright with color, imagination, and messages of love – form the foundation of a quilt that will travel across borders, landing in the arms of a child either in the U.S. or South Africa who has faced challenges of poverty, trauma, as well as various mental health issues related to becoming a foster child.
