A YEAR OF LOVE IN ACTION

By Zach Forte

This year, thousands of children felt the comfort of knowing they are seen, valued, and loved — all thanks to the compassion of our community. Through your support, the Love Quilt Project was able to reach 470 foster children in both the U.S. and South Africa in 2025, each receiving a tangible reminder that kindness knows no borders.

While our main focus may be on assisting these foster kids both educationally and mentally, it’s also important to look at the hundreds of other children that we’ve been able to teach our lessons of art and humanity to across America, a vital part of our complete mission. Through doing this, future generations of children will hopefully retain our messages of love and support, leading to a brighter future where more people see the need for personal philanthropy and giving support to those in need. Just over the last year, we have been able to visit 48 schools, teaching these ideals to over 2,600 children, enlightening them on ways that they can be of aid right now, and hopefully leaving them with messages that they can carry with them well into the future.

However, our work is always far from over. With plans to expand even further in 2026, our Giving Tuesday campaign represents a vital step toward growing our impact — enabling us to reach new schools, involve more volunteers, and deliver quilts to even more children in need of comfort and care. Every donation, no matter the size, becomes part of something larger: a movement of people who believe in the power of compassion. With continued support, we can provide more resources for art square programs, increase our distribution to foster care organizations, and build lasting partnerships that help us touch even more lives. Giving Tuesday gives us the momentum we need to turn this vision into reality.

From the moment a child unwraps their quilt, something special happens. The bright colors and messages of love stitched into every square remind them that they matter — that someone, somewhere, took the time to care. Behind every quilt is a story of hope, connection, and generosity. Whether it came from a classroom of young artists or a volunteer’s sewing circle, each stitch represents a shared belief in building a more compassionate world.
