A Message from our President, Gretchen Ginnerty

Dear Friends,

As I reflect on this past year, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for each of you. Because of your time, your talent, your generosity, and your love, we delivered more than 500 Love Quilts into the arms of children living in foster care! 500 children wrapped not only in something beautiful and handmade — but in dignity, comfort, and the powerful reminder that they matter.

Together, we also provided over $11,000 toward educational support for children who so deeply need encouragement and extra support to stay in school. In addition, we raised approximately $5,000 to help cover our essential program costs (like batting and art square fabric), ensuring that our mission continues to move forward.

This is extraordinary work. And it only happens because of you!

As we look ahead to 2026, we are setting a bold goal: to raise $100,000. This will allow us to expand our programs, increase our giving, and build the staffing support necessary to sustain and grow this important work. The need is great and so is our opportunity to respond. We truly need all hands on deck.

 Here are a few ways you can help us grow:

  • Share our story with your friends, faith communities, book clubs, and social circles.

  • Introduce us to schools that might participate in our beautiful, compassion-centered lesson plan.

  • Connect us with foster care organizations that could partner with us in serving children.

  • Help us build relationships with businesses and corporations whose values align with our mission.

Every introduction matters. Every conversation plants a seed. You never know which connection might open a door that changes everything. The Love Quilt Project has always been about community and people coming together to say to a child, “You are seen. You are valued. You are loved.”

Thank you for being part of this movement. Thank you for believing in the power of small acts done with great love. And thank you for standing with us as we step into an even bigger year ahead.
